I first read Gail Collins' "When Everything Changed: The Amazing Journey of American Women from 1960 to the Present" and realized how much I didn't know about American women. Collins writes is such a way to make history understandable and riveting. Was excited to read her first book on women "America's Women: 400 Years of Dolls, Drudges, Helpmates and Heroines" and it didn't disappoint. Both are excellent books.
